The prominent figure of the so legendary Beatles, Paul McCartney is facing his marriage misery of divorcing Heather Mills. The weeklong hearing, as matter of fact, ended without a deal and a judge will now impose a settlement on the warring couple. McCartney’s lawyer, Nicholas Mostyn, told reporters that judge Hugh Bennet had reserved his ruling. And now the judge is working out a settlement.
The couple separated in 2006 after four years of marriage. They went to court to decide on Mills’ share of McCartney’s fortune, estimated as much as £825 million (US$1.6 billion). Media reports have suggested McCartney to offer Mills around £25 million, but she was expecting to get at least double of the amount.
The 40-year old Mills smiled charmingly as she left London’s Royal Court of Justice with her entourage. McCartney, 65, didn’t attend, although he was there to face his estranged wife every day in the previous week. – AP
